The BT-DN110-A lithium-ion battery can be mounted internally or externally. The internal mounting is in the head tube or in the seat post. For external mounting, the bracket SM-BTC1 is required. The battery offers long life and high battery performance (up to 2,000 km on one charge). The optional connection cables (EW-SD50) are available in a wide range of lengths (from 250 to 1400 mm). Dimensions: Ø17 mm; length 160 mm. Capacity: 500 mAh.

Shimano BT-DN110-A - Bluetooth connection.

Bluetooth technology allows riders and mechanics alike to communicate wirelessly with the Di2 system by establishing a connection between the wireless unit in the SC-MT800 or the EW-WU101 and a tablet or smartphone. The only prerequisite is that the internal battery BT-DN110-A or the holder BM-DN100 for the external battery is installed. This benefits both the mechanic who wants to make extensive adjustments or perform error analyses in the workshop, as well as the mountain biker Shimself who wants to change certain settings on site on the trail via smartphone.

To ensure proper functioning of the electronic Di2 drive system, the individual components require the same firmware version. The readout or update of the firmware is enabled via the optionally available diagnostic device.
